The engine in the new Nissan vehicle is a turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder that gives the 2022 Nissan Rogue a boost in horsepower and torque from last year’s model. The vehicle’s CVT transmission has also been updated for improved acceleration and fuel economy.
2022 Nissan Rogue Performance
The VC-Turbo™ three-cylinder engine housed in the 2022 Nissan Rogue boosts the car’s horsepower by 20 and its torque by 44 lb-ft — its powertrain now makes a hefty 201 hp and 225 lb-ft of torque. Its Xtronic CVT transmission is another marvel, changing gears quickly and shifting its compression ratio in real time to enhance fuel efficiency.
Speaking of fuel efficiency, you’ll get plenty of it with the 2022 Nissan Rogue. The base front-wheel-drive version gets an EPA-estimated combined 33 MPG. Nissan’s Intelligent All-Wheel Drive is also available.
